Teacher Retention Rates

We are monitoring teacher retention rates – how teachers best retain students throughout the duration of a student’s course and as a result avoid students from “dropping off” from their courses. To assist in the process you will often receive reminders by e-mail to do so. However, as you are aware, it is very important that students are continuously encouraged verbally by teachers to book their (next/future) lessons and to book up all their lessons before expiry dates – all our teachers should be in the habit of doing so. To an extent student retention rates reflect on the quality of a teachers work and this could at times be a consideration when allocating new students (and high profile students) to teachers.

Please bear in mind that continuous reminders are to the advantage of teachers as much as students in that it results in more lessons booked and busier schedules for teachers. High retention rates directly reflect on our ability as a language training service provider to keep our students engaged and motivated, which naturally leads to satisfied clients. “Lost” lessons are lost – to us, to our students and to our clients.
